  • Charles M. Meng

    Founder & Managing Partner

    Chuck co-founded Meng Peeps in 1970, and has successfully provided retained executive search services to private, nonprofit and public-sector clients. The author John Lucht in his best-selling book, “Rights of Passage at $100,000+”, named Meng Peeps as one of the country's outstanding executive search firms. Also, John Sibbald in his book, “The Career Makers” published by Harper Business, ranked Chuck among the top 20 recruiters in the nation in the category of Universities, Colleges and Schools.     In the corporate sector, Chuck has recruited senior management executives for clients including Boeing, General Motors, Raytheon, the Irvine Company, and Wells Fargo Bank. In the public sector his clients include the City of Philadelphia, County of Los Angeles, and the City of Nashville. Among his nonprofit clients are The Tiger Woods Foundation, The James A. Baker Institute, and UCLA.

    Outside of executive search, Chuck is a founding member of the California State University Long Beach Board of Governors. He has served as a Trustee for the Boy Scouts of America, Los Angeles Area Council and as a board member of numerous corporations, associations and foundations. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from California State University, Long Beach.

  • Stephen Peeps

    Partner

    Before joining Meng Peeps, Stephen began his executive search career as a Partner in Heidrick & Struggles' Education and Nonprofit Practice. This followed a decade's service as founding President and Chief Executive Officer of the Lucile Packard Foundation for Children's Health, a multi-faceted public charity located in Palo Alto, California. Under his leadership, the new Foundation generated nearly $400 million in gifts and grants. He also served for two years as Chairman of its Board of Directors.   More...

    Earlier in his career, Stephen spent over twenty years in higher education, assuming increasingly senior executive roles at Stanford University, including Associate Vice President for Public Affairs and Associate Vice President of Development. He also led Stanford's Centennial Celebration which ran concurrently with the University's $1 billion Centennial Campaign. For his collective service on the University's behalf he was honored with the Kenneth B. Cuthbertson Award for exceptional service, Stanford's highest distinction for non-faculty members. He was also appointed a University Fellow.

    Stephen earned his bachelor's degree in English Literature "With Distinction" from Stanford, and his Ed.M. in Administration, Planning, and Social Policy from Harvard.

  • Cami Wisowaty

    Partner

    Prior to joining Meng Peeps in 2009, Cami spent more than fifteen years in the non profit sector, primarily in higher education and healthcare.

    She began her career with California State University Long Beach (CSULB) where she held development positions in the College of Business and Central Advancement.  She then joined the University of California, Irvine College of Medicine where she had responsibility for leading all aspects of medical development and alumni relations.   More...

    Cami next moved into the children’s hospital sector, raising major and principal gifts for the Lucile Packard Foundation for Children’s Health at Stanford University, which managed all fundraising for Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital and the pediatric programs of the Stanford School of Medicine.  Prior to joining Meng Peeps, she served as the lead development officer at Eastside College Preparatory School in East Palo Alto.

    With her first-hand knowledge of both higher and secondary education, as well as health and hospital systems, Cami is able to quickly identify talented development and advancement leaders and build viable candidate pools that lead to exceptional placements.

    Cami received her Bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Santa Barbara.

Marlene Rafferty

Partner

Marlene has been with Meng Peeps for 15 years, and over her tenure with the firm, has worked on senior public and private higher education, nonprofit, and state and county government engagements.

Marlene manages search administration, due-diligence referencing, coordination of detailed background investigation and publication matters. She is responsible for arranging candidate travel and scheduling. Marlene received her Bachelor's degree from the University of Southern California.

  • Marilyn Felix

    Senior Associate

    Marilyn has worked with Meng Peeps since 2010, providing search services in higher education, hospitals and health services, and other nonprofit sectors. Her core responsibilities include search strategy and research, candidate development, assessment and management, client management, and business development.   More...

    Marilyn began her executive search career in New York City with Ward Howell International in 1983. Two years later, she was recruited to Heidrick & Struggles as an Associate where she spent the next 23 years. Marilyn received her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from the State University of New York College at Oneonta.
